Atmospheric temples and a big Buddha! Our day trip to Kamakura, the 12th century political centre of Japan, is a must do for any visit to Japan. As well as the main city temples we hike into the hills and check out some of the less visited and most authentic places that you won’t find by yourself!
The hike involves a few steep ascents and descents but for anyone with average fitness it will be fine. There is a flatter option if you would prefer, just let us know after you’ve booked.
Your guide will meet you at your hotel at 8-8.45am depending on where you are staying. Your guide will drop you back at your hotel at around 5pm.
Price includes:
- Hotel pick-up/drop-off at any central city hotel
- All trains to and from and in Kamakura
- Private English speaking guide for whole day
- Entrance fees for temples and shrines
- Price does not include lunch
